Firstly, drop a few drops of dishwashing liquid to the warm water and fill your sink. You must remove the float valve carefully and use your hand to wash it in the soapy liquid. Dry the valve thoroughly and ensure there are no traces of liquid before replacing it using a dry microfiber cloth. Ensuring if the float valve is moving up and down smoothly after replacing it is also important. Under the electric pressure cooker’s lid, you can find an anti-block shield. You must remove it before cleaning but the steam valve need not be removed. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the steam valve and the anti-block shield must be separately removed, wiped, and then, replaced.

Next, comes the cleaning of the sealing ring in the pressure cooker. You must remove the sealing ring to examine it properly. Carefully check it to ensure there are no cracks in it and see if it fits tightly. If it is loose or seems to be damaged, get a new one immediately. Take a shallow pan and pour distilled vinegar in it. It must be deep enough to immerse the electric pressure cooker sealing ring in the vinegar for 5 minutes and let it sit. Remove the ring and then wash in a soapy water solution. Thoroughly dry the ring and then replace it. Do not forget to check if it fits in tightly.

Conclusion

You must have noticed that cleaning a pressure cooker is quite simple. When you think of how to clean the multi-use electric pressure cooker, you must try vinegar. But, anyone with stone kitchen countertops must avoid cleaning the cooker in the same room. Vinegar, being acidic in nature can cause damage to the stone.
