Fall cleaning routine – useful guide
Prepare for the upcoming cold months by following our fall cleaning routine
As winter comes to an end, there always appear numerous blog posts and articles on spring cleaning. However, fall cleaning is no less important since it prepares you for the time when you spend significantly more time at home. Now is the perfect time to officially transition to an indoor routine, and prepare for the cold months that you’ll spend enjoying hot chocolate under a warm blanket.SPIC AND SPAN.would like to present the following ideas to make your fall cleaning go more smoothly.
Despite the inevitable cold, fall can be a beautiful season. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Put away summer clothes and accessories
You’re not very likely to wear your swimming suits and summer dresses now, so switch out seasonal items. While you’re at it, look through everything that you’ve worn over the past few months, wash it, mend it, and store it away.
Treat fall cleaning as an opportunity to declutter
Looking through your closet is the moment to consider what you don’t wear or use anymore. There’s no point in keeping items you don’t like or need, so consider getting rid of them. If they’re still in a good condition, donate rather than throw away. It’s great to know that something you feel indifferent about can bring joy and be useful to someone else.
Now is the perfect time to get all your favorite sweaters and knits out of storage
Deep clean your kitchen
You’re likely to spend more time in the kitchen as the days get longer and colder, so make sure you get to experiment with cooking in a clean, pleasant environment. If your fridge hasn’t been cleaned in a while, now it’s a perfect time to get down to it! Remove all contents, including food, racks, shelves, and bins. Wipe down the inside surfaces with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water to disinfect and refresh the fridge. To make your fall cleaning more effective, look through all the food you have and get rid of expired items.
